Dr. Alvarez has lived in Tampa all her life. She graduated with honors from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders and a clinical Doctorate in Audiology. She completed residencies with Department of Veteran's Affairs, All Children's Hospital, and several private practice clinics. She is bilingual and certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association, a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, and licensed to practice in the state of Florida. Her specialty is geriatric aural rehabilitation and she is Board Certified in Audiology. Dr. Alvarez has been a guest lecturer regarding the effects of hearing loss and aging at the University of South Florida, and published in the Florida Academy of Audiology's The Advocate. She lives in Carrollwood with her husband and two little boys, Adrian and Ben.
